So why can't we do that ?

Could they fire someone after their "furlough" date ?

Even the most draconian right to work states require a schedule of some kind ...

Seriously ... another piece of the puzzle that is missing.

Not to butt in, however, while I understand your sentiment about not giving them a warm body for the extra time that they need one, don't you think that it's cutting off your nose to spite your face. I'd expect that anyone looking at a furlough would want to stay employed for as long as possible. Besides, they could extend the reprieve again and again. Just a thought. Good luck to you'all.

I have some proof that during my IOE on the 400, the guy doing my check ride paid for our diner with his company credit card. Funny thing is we put cash on the table to pay for our own meals. He did not offer to pay for it. He simply put the cash in his pocket and the American Express card got a little work out.

A friend of mine that works in the ANC training center said he keeps a file of all the "pencil whipped" stuff that he sees. Some pretty interesting stuff apparently. Never know where that stuff will end up.....

Also a couple of our "respected" management types have some good times on these Asian layovers. Do you realize how good cell phone cameras are these days?

Yes. This is one classy place to work!
Now your everyones moral compass JUP? Talk about classless. I'll bet management types are not the only ones in your little rat book. How many other pilots are you keeping tabs on?

I would think you could but I would also think the guys/gals want to work as long as possible, especially if you don't have anything else lined up.

One thing I know is that all of our capts make 250k/year in guarantee and senior FOs make north of 160k. Why in the world are they accepting JAs?
