"Our ALPA legal team felt this settlement agreement was as good as anything we would have won in arbitration, so they opted to settle."
Glad they asked those affected by this "agreement" whether they'd like to see 'em fight or settle. I'm sure there are bigger fish to fry, etc, etc.

Sorry. BAPO is acronymese for "Best of All Possible Training Order". BAPTO would've sounded too religious, I suppose. It's how they figured out who was going to what seat and in what order. For instance the more senior ANC FOs who bid 27FO went to training prior to 27SO folks (so junior that it was the only seat that could be held besides HKG).
Also how they figured out how to pay all those on the 27 excess that are senior to a few instructors at the end of the training list who won't be trained until Nov 2011.

Agreed! How come we kept seeing union communication on other grievance topics, but not this one? Very interesting....
