Guys:

Enough Blue on Blue!

Let's keep our eye on the ball. Yes, it blows that there are people who are benefiting while others aren't. Call them out. Yes, 4a2b bites. Somehow this will get worked out. We need to remember the precedent that has been set by the jackals/clowns pulling the financial strings on the other side. If they are so cavalier about conveniently hammering us on a portion of the contract (that we signed off on), we need to not forget this when it comes time for negotiating it away. There can be NO retreat in our negotiating goals. I want all that 4a2b money back.

There you go again.

That is well within the +/- 35% APC margin of error.

Glad to see you are in a better mood than a few months ago Busboy.

You have reason to celebrate. Congrats.

(I won't comment on this subject again ... I promise)

First year pay doesn't count in this discussion.

Unhappy Even worse than B-scale

As I recall, introducing the B-scale at Delta actually gave first-year pilots a raise. That's because the old "probationary pay" was an abysmal flat rate: $900 per month, increasing to $1000 after 6 months (1979). Second year and later was where "B-scalers" took the big hit. It was a bad idea, and we were able to scuttle it in the next contract.

A long time ago, I remember complaining about pay, schedule, or some other malady. The captain I was flying with told me how bad he had it, when I was still in diapers. I just finished a trip, and low and behold, my s/o was listening to me complain about how bad things are right now. Ironically, he was the one in diapers. We've come full circle.

You just finished a trip on which your SO was wearing diapers? I thought those guys were all trained back to the window seats by now.

Wait a minute....I'm confused. Were you flying with an over 60 S/O who was wearing diapers? And what's this about coming full circle. Are you saying you did a 360 and got the hell out of there? Just wondering.
