FDX - More Memphis honors

It is based on 2006 rates though. In defense of Memphis proper, their rate is down from 2006.
Also, the Memphis Police Commissioner made the decision to report crimes differently than most large cities. I think that it has to do with not including suburbs such as Germantown, Collierville, Bartlett, Lakeland and others which would bring the numbers down. Most other large cities do include those types of surrounding areas as much as possible, to make their numbers look better.
I was born and raised in Memphis, and live in Midtown. Yes, there is a bad crime problem in Memphis. Yes, the same problem exists in parts of all large cities. Personally, I have never had a problem, but there are areas to stay away from, and I do, except when going to and from work. I am just glad that the majority of Fedex pilots feel like Memphis is the worst place in the world. It gives me a lot more relative seniority, and much more time off.

I live in Southern Pines/Pinehurst, NC! Please compare and show me how the Memphis area is better! I'll concede 1 item, I pay NC taxes! Other than that???

Hey I DID NOT say Memphis was great/or better than anything, I said all places have good and bad. I know you know this S since we have talked at great length about it. Now you have a very cool/unique deal. Like I told you if guys live in a neighborhood anywhere in the country I'd rather it be where I can spend the max time with my family. You are a rock-star and live on a farm, I'd still pick family, but your deal would be tempting.

We rarely lock our doors, I'm comfortable with my 6 yr old daughter roaming our acreage, or each of my 5 immediate neighbor's acreage (close to 100 aces total), as long as I know, and as long as her dog follows with her - she has a modified (24v I converted from 12v - goes fast) electric car she drives around to visit neighbors. We fish in our ponds, we catch turtles, ride our horses, explore the woods and swamp on our property, enjoy our pets (3 barn cats, 4 house cats and a dog), tree fort/zip line in the works, mess around outside, etc. She rarely watches TV - one movie a week as a family (I hate CareBears, btw).
As someone else stated here earlier, would I chose to live in the Memphis area if I didn't work there? Heck no, so I'm not going to subject my wife and family to living there against their will. I was willing to move there, and as you know, we looked. But nothing we found was worth the move. So, I'd say I picked family too!
If you're happy, that's great. Most of us that don't live in the Memphis area are happier to not live there for whatever each of our individual reasons might be. No need to keep lauding the wonderful attributes of Melvis every time the subject comes up! We know how much you love it!
Of course, your mileage may vary, some settling of contents may have occurred during shipping and handing and void where prohibited!

No rock star status here, and yes I do live on a farm - so how have I picked against family, as your statement implies? BTW - my "deal" is cool, but not "unique" where I live. Its just what we have chosen. You have chosen to live differently.

I didn't copy your complete deal, but I don't lock our doors much, we have an electric car (Obama and you paid for) and my kids run all over the place and I don't worry about them at all. And my wife loves it as you know.
One question since I know you are sitting reserve in Memphis this month. If you lived near Memphis would you have more time with your family?
A Simple Yes or No will do. You will answer your own question.
I never said there weren't better places I just said there isn't any place you can spend more time with your little girl. But, I digress

You can have the low lying flat land and the weather that goes with it. You only have two or three months you can even get outside.
I can't believe you saw someone outside.

Here's a simple question, who blocked more hours last year? Me or you? Who had 445.3 block? That's a lot more block than my 370, just flying my line and a few extra days of flying. Who picked up more trips on days off last year? I think I picked up 2 or 3 total (almost never prior to 4a2b)? Who regularly trades out and backs and a bed at home for 24hr layovers and a hotel bed? For someone who says they spend so much more time at home with momma and the kids, you sure spend a lot of time flying and on the road!
Like I said, no need to keep explaining how wonderful it is in domicile for "you", we get it, its just not the same for most of the rest of us!
Oh, and since you're home so much, can we get the broken bathroom shower faucet knobs replaced and the broken sink/vanity repaired at the crashpad? Its been a couple of months since the landlord has been notified and no repairs yet! I guess he must be busy scanning OT.
Final question, if your wife was not so keen on the Memphis area, would you still live here! Answer this and you answer your own question of me!
BTW - here is the "electric car" my 6 yr old drives, which obviously has nothing to do with you or Barry O (not sure how this got into the discussion):
