UPS Failed to Deliver

These aren't typical for a corporation that is laying off in the face of having "more money than we know what to do with" or rewarding the CEO with a 6.1% increase in compensation.
The logistical problems that are described in Apple's letter go hand-in-hand with the fact have reduced our lift in the face of a cargo volume recovery and had to outsource to Atlas to provide lift for the IPAD rollout.
So tell us, STA, if this isn't due to poor planning and execution on behalf of UPS Management, than where is the origin of these problems ???
Corholio ? Buehler ? Maybe Jimmy Carter ?
I'd love to know how is asleep at the switch ? Since UPS has never furloughed before this is unknown territory for the airline side of the house and the $XXX millions they are projecting to save on paper will be more like $XX.
Accountability starts at the top.

Pretty good source was telling me that Atlanta wanted to can all but 50 - 60 of the "Management" types. They were tired of these guys picking exactly what flights they wanted to go on and IPA guys sitting at home. The company was essentially paying two pilots for the same flight. The decision was made to get rid of them. Make the remaining ones do what EVERY other airline does with "Management"...well you manage.
RB and BL said they could control that group better than the IPA. Sold Atlanta on furloughing 300 IPAer's instead. What is funny is to hear these clown talk about UPS "having-their-back". They are paid guns to do the flying contractually belongs to us. Now these guys are flying all the stuff they would have never touched before. Some of the stuff they are doing is highly suspect, just to keep the boxes moving. These guys are not stupid, but they are in a difficult position. Not doing anything illegal (that I have seen) but it does raise an eyebrow.
These are some interesting times.

I mean if you have to say "Is this illegal" before you do something with your job....there is probably an issue.
Just sayin
