Default Training Pay

When training from a present seat to new seat, how is your pay calculated during training (FDX)?

What airline do you work for? (rhetorical question)

Bid for highest pay while in training (in the seat you are leaving). You will be paid the guarantee for the line you would have held at the rate for the former seat.

Exception is the month when you begin training. You will work the line you bid in that month until you get to a 48 hour buffer prior to the training start.

As for the month in which you finish, there is a formula in the contract that will determine how many days you still "owe" after the completion of IOE. The previous pay rate applies until you finish your activation check.

This is somewhat oversimplified. In the training start month, if you bid to conflict too much of your schedule with training, there are ways they can hose you. You can owe them days or they can reduce your guarantee - see the contract and a major law firm of your choosing to figure out the details of that goatrope.

Where's the obligatory "read the contract", it's been 50 minutes?
