I think you will find that the FDX(former Tiger) FAs were furloughed in accordance with their labor agreement. Federal Express normally would have found other positions for them but because they were union members that policy did not apply.

Since Atlas guys are surely reading this thread I have a question. SonAir wanted to use their pilots in our (World) cokpit. Are SonAir pilots in your cockpit? Also, what is the makeup of your flight attendant crew? Thanks.

Like I said, they were terminated.

No, and the FA's (Male & Female) live in the Houston area.

Yes, Aloha flew cargo inter-island, but they were with non-pax configured 737 aircraft just as ugly as ours on the inside ---- I saw them on display at an airshow at Kalaeola Airport (the old Barbers Point Field) around 2004 before they went completely belly up.

I think the cargo portion of Aloha was eventually sold off in the liquidation, and is the only portion of the previous operation still flying.

I saw the Atlas f/as training at Aerosevices 2 weeks ago.

We have some Ex-FedEx FA's and they were offered non flying jobs at FedEx. Many decided to continue to fly at other carriers.

The F/A's are not employed by AAWW. I don't know if Son Air has them or who, but the quesiton was asked on the company website about them jumpseating on Atlas birds and the answer was that they couldn't as they're not employed by Atlas.

The F/As are rentals. Atlas went to a F/A staffing service and said we need X number of F/As. Atlas trained them to their procedures but their prime requirement is they live in Houston.
