Default Flying Fatigued ?

Hearing a lot of moaning and groaning about the pairings and how bad the flying schedules are getting ........................... Question : WHY are you all allowing yourselves to fly fatigued ? Where is the Union in all of this mess ? SIG ? Safety ? Just did an O/B/ to RNO and once again, NO PILOT FACILITIES for Pilot rest ................................. as is in many other facilities that we fly to, because of a very weak CBA and folks that basically don't give a damn.
Talking Safety ? Walking Safety ? What a joke .................................

Was this a regularly scheduled flight or an X-pairing?

All threads in the cargo section are presumed to be about FedEx.

If you call in fatigued, you may have to talk to the Duty Officer and you will talk to your ACP. Both of whom will ask numerous, repetitive questions (give you rope to hang your self). Then they will document this on management's Pilot report card, ( an in house record contrary to contract rules). The report card has your picture your sick calls, fatigue calls and any other (one sided) notes the DO or ACP decides. You have no retort. Our union ignores this.

Not if you have the "Show Avatars" box unchecked in the Edit Options menu.

We have a punitive fatigue call program at purple. Somehow the Feds haven't noticed.

I think they've noticed. That's why the Feds have officially warned us about our violation rate. They blame it on poor professionalism and currency.

FAA motto - "We're here to deny responsibility and shift all blame."

Just keep waiting for those new rest rules. I'm sure they're going to be realisitic this time
