What are the chances of ever seeing the response from UPS? If they respond at all.

Completely their (UPS superior management's) choice. I completed 2 long term training events during the time that the DC-8 guys sat at home. If the company wanted them trained, they would have been trained. They can't plan themselves out of a paper bag. Long term planning is the next sort at this place. They don't have a clue.

BTW, as a result of the RIF bid, I end up back where I started less than a year ago but with 2 more type ratings. But training is a "fixed cost"

I'm glad someone in Congress is asking UPS some very specific, very difficult questions. Good luck fellas.
Yeah!

When is the app window supposed to open anyways? Will they let us slide on the $50 fee?

You can't just blow off a US Senator. Especially the Senator who's vote you are trying to win in the Fedex unionizing battle. For UPS to win that battle they need EVERY Dem in the Senate and a couple of Rs to vote for it. UPS has never been this close to winning this battle. This Senator will get his answers from UPS. They might not be truthful but he will get answers.
