That's what we all got for our 'bonus' my first year there. Pretty good, when you were making less than $18K/yr

New FedEx Postal Contract
Wait ... Fedex couldn't have renegotiated the Postal Contract for 7 more years. I read on this very forum that Fedex needed to quake in their boots when UPS got that tiny little postal contract a few weeks ago. Fedex was supposed to be in big trouble and might have to furlough up to 500 pilots as UPS was positioning itself to compete for the BIG contract?
I guess that thought process was wrong? Maybe the post office was just happy with the service Fedex has been providing? Go figure

"You may well have already read about the new contract that FedEx has reached with the U.S. Postal Service. That’s great news for our business. Of interest on this issue is a quote from FedEx Express president and CEO, David Bronczek, who said, “Reaching a new agreement a full two years ahead of schedule is proof positive of the excellent relationship that FedEx has developed with the U.S. Postal Service.”
It is nice that FedEx Express has an excellent relationship with the Post Office and has a demonstrated ability to consummate contracts early. In contrast, the elapsing of 794 days past the amendable date of the contract with its own pilots would seem to speak volumes about where we stand with the company we helped build and define.
If the logical deduction is incorrect, it would be nice to see that manifest at our own negotiating table."
