So what is it you want? I read that FCIF and thought Cassel's comments were reasonable, without either too much pie in the sky or doom and gloom. After all, is there anyone out there in TV land who doesn't think that "the economic outlook could change?" Just the fact that the company is moving forward with this vacancy posting for over two hundred captains and first officers, this at a time when UPS pilots are being furloughed, cannot be a bad thing. So please, no complaining, not at least until the company cancels this bid. Remember, bid what you want to fly, where you want to fly it.

Yes, a bid is good, and my quote reflected back to our cancelled half-bid where approximately half the captain slots were removed after bid closing. Kinda threw percentage bidding out the window. This at the relatively same time our VP Flt Ops was telling us we don't need raises because you're all going to be captains. Our current contract now prevents this: Section 24.B.1.e - a bid may not be amended. Can be cancelled, just not amended.
