So what was the reply when O said he WAS the uniform police? "OH! You look so much younger/are so much taller/more handsome in person!"?:D Mon Dieu!

Hmmm, most of these attributes I could understand you knowing, but at least one attribute I'd have to say "NTTIAWWT?":confused:

Seriously, you're exactly correct, and it's those few guys who somehow always manage to find their way into notoriety, and along the way ruin it for the vast majority, whose only offense is that they are lumped in with the bad apples. But then again, hey, it was only the Air France First Class lounge. Thankfully it wasn't Air India's.:D

JJ, I didn't realize you knew me. But what really concerns me is, how did you know the size of my johnson? You're not one of those guys that peeks while standing at a urinal, are you? You must be a Navy guy:)

OK, now that you've asked, I'll tell you. It's because you wear that damn 4" watch on your wrist. Hell, it's so big it might as well be a sundial. In fact, maybe that's what it is. Anyway, another old adage is: your size is inversely proportional to the size of your watch. Navy pilot.....hardly......I didn't work for a living....flying for the USAF.:D

I volunteer to thoroughly and completely examine His Hungness! ;)

Back to the thread, what is a person supposed to wear on a deadhead?

I'm not much of a fan of "O", but the company's dress code is pretty simple and not hard to follow.

"If not traveling in uniform, the following dress code applies:
First ClassMales: Dress slacks and dress shirt (tie not required) or turtleneck.
Females: Dress, suit, slacks / skirt with coordinating blouse.
International: Business casual attire
Coach Class
Males: Casual slacks with collared shirt/turtleneck and casual shoes with socks.
Females: Casual slacks / blouse / sweater and casual shoes for females.
Unacceptable Clothing for Deadhead or lnterline Travel:
Sheer / strapless / thin strap tops
Sandals /thongs
Athletic-type shoes.
Denim fabric / jeans.
Shirts with no collars.
Jogging / sweat suits.
T-shirts / tank tops.
Shorts / cut-offs.
Mini-skirts."

The guy was improperly dressed per our FOM. Period. But his inappropriate response to "O" really demonstrates this guy's lack of professionalism. All he had to do was simply be polite. He could have just said, "Thanks for the advice." Then, when it was revealed to him that the person whom he was addressing was the Chief Pilot, the situation would have been far less uncomfortable. It doesn't matter if it was the SCP or a fellow crew member letting this guy know he was not in the proper attire, his crass remark was uncalled for. Using a little tact goes a long way. On top of that, wearing the company ID in civies in the AF lounge? Unsat.
