From a very strong source.

Ups purchased 11 747-400 from unknown vendor.

Annoucment should take place within next week or so. Maybe///??? Thats if they are going for press release but as far as the source it's legit and 100% factual. Can't name the source so no pm please just wait and see.

There's not a logical reason for this to be true given that guys are being furloughed. However, that doesn't mean it's not true. Assuming it is accurate what does this mean regarding furloughs?

That's awesome! Those jets will come in really handy to carry all the extra lift from the DHL North America contract that we're getting.

You cannot believe anything here (at UPS) until you have your dispatch paperwork with a BUNO on it.

If true, all it means is they will pull MD11's out of the Pac Rim and put them on domestic routes.
