Default UPS Mgt Pilots Possible Line Numbers

I have been hearing a lot of talk about UPS Mgt Pilots getting line numbers. Do not get me wrong, most UPS Mgt pilots (including myself) would not want line numbers. Has anybody heard anything about this subject?

Default You would be lucky to get them

G,

I don't know how long you have been here but I think that if the chance is given you, it would be smart to take it, a great insurance policy if one day your boss suddenly doesn't like you or you don't want to take that "promotion" to hong kong acp.

I might not have been clear enough. We would have no choice. The IPA would simply inform the company that they were putting us on the seniority list. This stems from the "class and craft" Dorsey court case of 1999. If the IPA wanted us on the list, they would simply "accrete" us.

That's bull. I flew with a management guy that said if management pilots were given the opportunity to get on the seniority list, there "would be a stampede". You'd be stupid not to get on the list. Personally, I'm all for it.

Puppy...

Geoffrey is baiting you and the rest of us. He is a master at this type of thing...that is why he is a master baiter.

This is a major issue for ups and they would not go down without a fight. It would be HUGE if we could get the mgrs on the list, but I feel it'll take a huge court fight to make it happen. And we know what happens when ups goes to court..they bring lawyers and money.

I kid you not!! I am not trying to pull anyone's chain. This is a number one priority at the IPA. Also, a lot of us think UPS will cave on this one and give in rather quickly.

Number 1 priority at the IPA, eh? Methinks you are full of it. The only way I would vote to have managers added to the seniority list is if they were all at the bottom. Don't care if they've been here since 1907. They also have a buttload of back dues to pay. Should just about take care of buying the IPA headquarters.

I have heard it will be date of hire with seat protection. You know as well as I that tacking them to the bottom of the list won't fly

Ah GEOFFREY, I was thinking about where you've been lately. I miss your posts. It's great to have you back and stir the pot a bit. I need a good laugh and you come though every time. Thank you!

I don't think ups will give in to this issue at all because after all who would they have to fly the struck goods when time comes?
