FDX phase in conflict/rec. training question
I am an Airbus guy. Let's say I bid an R-line (one long block) and then split the block of R days with recurrent training. As are result, the whole R line will be dropped during the conflict processing window and I get to put in for make-up (CIA) during the view/add window. My question is this. Since make-up (CIA) is assigned before the VTO lines are built, can I go and put in make up for a SIBA trip that is in open time if I am currently domestic and NOT flying SIBA but I am CURRENT AND SIBA QUALIFIED? I believe it can be done but can't find that in the contract anywhere.

Talk to the Futures Scheduler. If needed, PM me for contact name/info for A300 FOs. I have asked this before, and believe that you have to hold a current SIBA bid for that period to get CIC SIBA trips. But I have been wrong before, so recommend you go to the source.

C/O and Training in grace month??
Not to drift the thread too much ... but,
Nov...training in grace month. I have a long trip (220 TAFB) that carries over and all the training dates in Nov conflict with the carryover (HKG, large training footprint). Substitution (25.H.) I guess? So, will they put me in SUB for the whole trip (even in the prior bid month) or just the carryover portion? I guess if I try and conflict Nov's bid with training as well, the whole month would be in SUB? is that good or bad? I plan to call Futures tomorrow as well. Thanks in advance |
