Has CK started hiring FE's for the classic?

Also, do you have to pay for your own hotel during training?

1. Don't know but we're gonna need em.

2. For indoc and systems, you're on your own for lodging. You'll get a hotel when you start sim training. It's BS, but that's the way it is.

I guess that counts me out of ever considering it. Can't afford that. My old man wants the FE job. He and your CP used to fly KC-10's together.

Then don't come to Fedex. Only $2000 per month and no hotel during training.

Seriously? I wouldn't have thought FedEx was like that.

Of course, as soon as training is finished, it's $59.39 per hr til end of 1st year. After that, it's a minimum of $76 (SO $76, NB FO $114, WB FO $139)

Not go in debt for a job.

With one of the fastest upgrades possible in a 747, at Kalitta (disclaimer: until now), you would have a chance at PIC time on a type of aircraft that would open many doors to very high paying expat contracts around the world. Something to think about. 2 months of hotel costs should not stop you from that.

Now, if it is the lifestyle that you're questioning, and other things, then, yeah don't leave a good job right now.

Anyhow, I don't know much about Kalitta, but thought I'd chime in on the potential opportunities you would be gaining by going there. I had previously considered going there when things were looking pretty unstable at my current carrier.

Good luck!
