Default protect min days off in VTO bid

I have 8 days carryover Reserve into Dec. I bid a VTO for Dec. Did miss the protect min days off and can I put protect min days off into my Sec line preferences? I thought when I selected protect min days off for phase in conflict on the original bid that was protecting min days off?

VIPS - Bid Period Processing Summary

This will depict whether or not you protected Min Days Off or you selected Phase-In-Conflict (or both).

Yes it shows I protected min days off as a result for phase in on the bid last week but I did not go in before 22 Nov and select to protect min days off and tell them what to drop as I have a VTO and don't have a schedule yet. Was I supposed to protect min days off again?---

OK so I think I am OK just didnt tell them what days to drop which doesnt matter sense it is a VTO?

The original bid for December had an option for Min Days for Phase In. You protected this during your bid.

I **think** you should be ok!

As a forever VTO holder, I have never had to go back and submit another "Min Days" request....but we were in 4a2b, so it wasn't an issue for almost two years.

When you submit your VTO request (by 0700 Fri MEM Time), you could put "protect min days off" as a request. You can call futures on Monday to see if they can honor the request -- from my conversations with the individuals in futures -- there are only 4 that complete all the VTOs.

From my understanding, when a VTO is built, the carryover days from a previous month are not included in the VTO line value (but included in pay). I think the Nov VTO award is no longer accessible, but when you look at the award you see the original line value & trips -- that could be helpful info for you.

All else fails, call your ACP on Monday....

If you find out a second request for Min Days Off protection is required -- please post -- as it would be useful to know!

Good Luck!
