I'll change my answer to "probably not, but I sort of hope they do."

Balut: Is "LogMeIn" working well for you?
I sold my laptop and bought the 16GB 3G iPad back in June. I primarily use my device for email and internet. It works for me. Here are some FDX specific issues/workarounds I use:
Cannot run BidX on the iPad. My workaround is to use LogMeIn to remotely access my home PC for my bid if I am on the road. Currently using the free service with the $30 app, but there are cheaper alternatives of the same thing.

It works great for me. I've only used it when on a wireless connection, so I haven't noticed any speed problems. Takes some getting used to how you control the mouse, but not difficult. LogMeIn app is on sale today for $19.99, but there is another remote desktop control app called JumpDesktop that is always $19.99. You can always setup the LogMeIn Free account on the website, then try remote access via Safari to try it out. You don't need the app to make it work, but you do need to install software on your home computer so your iPad can control it.

iSSH is a nice client for VNC. Supports SSH, VNC via SSH tunnel and public key authentication so you've got a direct, secure connection to your remote computer, not through an intermediate service. If those terms, dynamic DNS and port forwarding don't make your Unix senses all tingly, let me add my recommendation for LogMeIn.
