FedEx Seat Lock

How long is the initial seat lock at FedEx? Is it the same for the new hires going to ANC in the MD-11? I.e., is there any type of moving allowance/contract for ANC like at UPS?

Also, how long do guys ride side saddle in the 727 before getting a F/O slot in MEM?

Guys have been awarded new postition while in basic indoc. We had one guy finish IOE, fly one trip and start training for the right seat.

There is no initial seat lock. In theory, you could go from 727 SO, DC-10 SO, 727 FO, MD-11FO, B727 CAP, MD11 CAP in one year. (That might be a little too much shcool for me). We only have a lock for a sideways or backwards move. That lock is for 2 years.
