Nope, I see it the same way, however, fatigue call in, prior or after tri check in is no longer just an automatic deduction from you sick bank. Its possible now to keep you in the field and have your trip revised. Maybe apples to oranges, and some will like this and some won't. I personally think its good! Especially if you go fatigued on one of those disputed pairings!

Fedex guys...

What are you charged if you call sick for one of your r days?

Wondering...

nothing, as long as CRS doesn't assign you a trip while you're sick; if they do, the value of the trip is deducted from your sick bank.

The value of the trip or standby period if they would have used you. If they are fat in the seat and you worked earlier in the month for leveling, you might not have any days charged for a whole week of sick. On the other hand, if you call in sick the first day of 15 r-days and they would have given you a 50 hour trip--you get charged 50 hours. That's a lot of sick time to be used for a couple days of not feeling well.

If you would have gotten assigned a trip on that day according to your leveling, then you are charged for that trip. More often than not, you are not charged anything. I have been listed sick for 5 or 6 days in a row on reserve and not been charge any sick leave. They could screw you over though, and assign you a 10 day trip if you have that many days left, and you would be charged the entire trip as sick leave.

Was zero if no trip assigned, if trip assigned value of trip. TA will be R day value 4:30 aday or value of trip assigned.... Fly the first half of the month First Fly option then call in sick second half of month without any loss of sick bank Old way. Took a hit on that one

I can not find anywhere that the TA says you will be charged an r-day value or value of trip assigned. It seems to have remained the same for reserve. If you have read that somewhre, could you point me in the right direction.

I looked at the TA section 14 again. I could not find that change in the TA. Can you tell what section it's in.

That section, if you read it carefully, says if you call in sick for all of your r-days in a given bid period, then you will be charge RLG. Otherwise it is the cost of a trip that you were assigned. If it was a change to the current contract it would not be in black ink. If you notice, section C is all black ink, therefore, no change.
