Doesn't look like it's changed from the currnet system. It's not in blue or red in that section. You do get charged an R-day value if you call in sick for the whole month, not part of the month. Which is under 14 B. 2 c i. That's the same as now.

Don't count on a Q&A of the TA. Grievance has had nothing but trouble with Q&A and the clear language interpretation of the last "contract" dictation. The document stands on it's own language, not an interpretation.
Go to a road show or call someone who can get you an answer.

Didn't they remove the requirement to get approval for dipping in to the DSA? The only time I went into it (and I have never called in sick over 3 times in one year), I had to provide a note from my Dr. What a pain in the neck (so to speak).

Default Retirement graph Question?

Can anyone explain the graph on page 6 of the retirement section? It is the one which adds a percentage to A Plan for guys over age 50 at DOS. First is the % correct? For example, the % with 10 years at DOS is .01%. Isn't .01% 1/100 of 1%? 10 X .01% = .1% (which is 1/10 of 1%). Even if the high five was maxed out at $260K, the extra retirement income would be only $260.00 a year (peanuts). Did they mean for the answer to be 1%? Am I AFU or what?

Deadheads are not included in that 10 hour calculation. Only revenue flights are considered. So your concern is valid when looking at a deadhead at the end of a revenue flight.

Per B.C., they didn't go for proportional changes. So both vacation and sick are effected. That just means that we'll have to do a better job of managing those days.

Kind of like we do now...If you're trips that are worth over 6hrs(hard time).

By the way, as far as sick leave goes...We get 72hrs/year. Max sick bank is 686hrs. That's obviously not calculated by 6hr days. Unless they wanted us to have a max of 114.333 days of sick leave.

The vacation argument has been beaten to death, I'd say. But, just for argument's sake...If you're presently flying a MEM-GTF type line(one that's paid at more than 6hrs/day) and you have vacation that month. Do you not get the same amount of time off, even though you knock out less trips with your 6hr/day vacation? Just by the fact that you have less trips to begin with? I think it works out the same.
