FEDEX Lido/iRouteManual For iPad
Version 1.1
(Q1 2011) The next major update is intended specially for pilots at our customer airlines. In version 1.1 they can download charts for their complete route network using the corresponding access data. Could this be the long awaited EFB for the Airbus ?????? |
The better option would be going back to Jepps.

If you have the code to let you access the company downloads. So far it's a $20 app with no use other than the airports that it came with.

Here's my take on it: --The concept is way cool...it holds tremendous promise to transform the iPad even further into a valuable work tool. --This is version 1.0; it looks to me to be only a "test of concept", as it has only 4 airports in it's database....and none of them is MEM. --It doesn't have access to any RAR/CRAR/COM/NAV/etc. --It cost $19.99. Please don't waste 20 bucks on this one. Version 1.1 is due out in a couple of weeks. It is supposed to have access to the worldwide database, all RAR stuff, and....to each individual airline's data. I know we are working very hard to get the price to be...FREE...and to insure access to all the LIDO data that "we" use. Remember...this is not a FDX product; we can't just tell them what to do and how to do it. I'll let you know more info as I get it. We are all very interested in this concept. |

I think I'll stick with LIDO. Hell you could put the stuff on toilet paper with crayons and I wouldn't complain. Sure beats doing updates and hauling around that 40 pound flight kit. |
I think he's talking about the E version of Jepps.

I think modern airplanes like the 777 are being delivered BRAND NEW with Boeing Electronic Flight Bags already installed (near the tiller)? For that matter, didn't Boeing buy Jeppesen a few years ago?
Photos: Boeing 777-35R/ER Aircraft Pictures | Airliners.net It seems like we always have to reinvent the wheel? |
Goodreader app $4.99. Down load the airports you need from the LIDO website, make a trip folder and you are good to go. Works like a champ.
