Training custom line
 

I'm working a flying line in April. I go to training the second week in may. I was surprised to log on yesterday and have the message that I was awarded a custom line for April. Then on my schedule they have put 2 reserve days on the end of my April flying line.
I was under the impression that I can still bid a flying line for the May bid, because I don't go to school until the second week.
What's going on with them adding two days of reserve at tge end of April? And can I still bid for May? Thanks

Call them yet?

call the Company and ask, and then call ALPA and tell them your situation. It seems highly irregular for a mid month addition to a line you were awarded.

As for May, yes, you should be bidding to fly. If you conflict a trip that does not completely fit under your training footprint, you could be subject to a custom line formula to recapture some of the hours that are removed on days prior to your training. Check out that section in the contract.

Did you have a carryover trip that conflicted with training?

If you did - they will remove that trip and rebuild the time you owe them.
