You make it sound as if coming back to the line would be like quiting your "real job". Get a life. You got hired to fly airplanes, come out and fly.

It's time to put this debate to bed. Section 11 is what it is,there is enough sweetner in the entire T/A to make this POOP sandwich go down but there will be an after taste. Even TONY admitted section 11 was consessionary for the flex instructors, but it was fair because it was a small concession.
Let's end the thread like this:

It's ok for the union to screw the Flex Instructors because ______________.
You fill in the blank with previously listed half truths/lies. Here is the first one.

1. They all make $400,000 a year.

Whiners

This whole thread reminds me of the old psychological experiment where the teacher came into class one morning and told the 1st or 2nd graders that blue eyed people were superior. It only took a short time before all the blue eyed kids were dancing the superior dance and the brown eyed kids felt like s#!+. The next day the teacher said she had made a mistake and that really the brown eyed people were superior and by the end of the day there was anarchy.
Let's get real here people, we're all in this together. The schoolhouse is predominantly made up of good guys just like the line. Both sides have some undesireables. Alot of this animosity is carried over from past ways of doing business over there and by that I mean cutting their own deals and maximizing every opportunity presented. Hey, it's human nature, both in the school house AND the line. Just look at all the line flyers that were also flying extra; IMHO it was just more quantifiable that flex guys were doing it because there was a way to verify it. Also, IMHO all the Union was and will try to do is make it fairer for everyone and that deals with numbers; Remember Spocks words, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. All that being said, section 11 pay was mainly the company's proposal so if any of the flex guys have major heartburn take the argument to Mike, but the bottom line is if you keep your job over there when your real bargaining power is to leave then nobody should have to hear anyone whine, least of all the Union. Line guys you're free to apply, there always seems to be openings. Commuters, the TA should make it easier for you to work over there; if not then it's your decision to live someplace other than a schoolhouse.
Have a nice day. :)

I bet it was something like, "Before Start Checklist", "Before Takeoff Checklist", "In Range Checklist", "Gear down, before landing checklist" and a few other choice phrases! :)

Don't count on it. That's one of the biggest problems here. :(

That's not exactly what I said.

I take it av8rmike decided to NOT explain the policy of 5 INVIOLATE days off per bid period.
