DFW Area FDX Commuters...
Tuesday night, DFW was hit by a hail storm.
If you were parked in the lot at DFW, your car has hail damage.
Two cars have their back windshields blown out. I didn't think to get the license plates.
If you have a car parked at DFW, it might be a good idea to have someone check on it.
This has been a public service announcement.

DFW Hail
Missed it by a day. Was any FedEx airplanes damaged? American Airlines cancelled a bunch of flights and some airplanes were damaged. This summer could be a rough time for flying if the last month is any indication of what is to come. Better have a adverse weather plan for your family when you are gone on a trip.

I jumpseated to MEM from DFW Tuesday night. One MD-10 canceled due to hail damage on the elevator.
As for parking - park over at FastTrack. It is covered and a little over $4/day with the FedEx discount. On a side note, they have been instructed by management to stop giving us rides to and from the pax side unless we are parked on their lot.

I was standing by the corner a couple weeks ago hoping to get a ride and a dude pulls up in a pickup truck, identifies himself as the manager of FastTrack, starts interrogating me as to my intentions and says we shouldn't be asking for rides and that fedex gets a good discount and should park there instead of looking for a free ride. He said it is a disservice to his paying customers and it "inconveniences them unnecessarily". What a crock. I looked at him and said "I'm just waitin' on a friend". Thirty seconds later a Parking Spot guy picked me up.

Should have told him you'd park there more often if the company wasn't screwing with your travel expenses (aka accepted fares) . And then told him that you do tip his employees generously for their services .
Just found out that FastTrack has been bought by ParkingSpot. Rebranding to come. I'm betting our 'great' discount goes away with the rebranding .
