Draft call out of order fdx
So what happens at fedex if they draft out of seniority order. I had put in VLT for a trip they would not give me because I had dropped a trip during the footprint then drafted someone junior to me. Any ideas? Call the union I know but they are not open til Tuesday. They said vips Auto drafted for it?
Just read contract, it is not in accordance with CBA, I just wonder what the restitution is and if it matters whether I fly other trips, it was a big trip. |

Draft calls are supposed to go in reverse seniority order. It sounds like scheduling got it right this time. Section 25 O.

In reverse order like call the junior first? Wow I misread that. Sorry.

Guess I was wrong about seniority, but what happens if they violate this? Get paid for the trip? And the contract mentions not eligible for VLT on a day a TRIP is dropped. I would think that would only be the first day of the trip. FOr example if you dropped a trip on the 8th, can you do a 5 day volunteer on the 5th to the 10th?

Short answer, No. There is an overlap on the 8-10th. |

It doesn't go in seniority order, call them and ask them, I did. I was told that they have a "call tree" they follow. Local MEM being first.

If you actually get screwed, CMU is a little-known thing to take advantage of.
It is Make up time that pays draft; you go to the top of the list (above Priority Makeup guys) and it never goes away. If you get screwed on a VTO, draft, volunteer, etc, always try to get CMU for the trip value that you lost. |

Section 25.G.3.b. Open time not assigned as provided in Section 25.G.1. (above) shall be assigned in the following order: i. SUB, RAT or PMU; ii. Make-up: (a) CMU (b) M/U (c) MUS (includes both MUS and MUD) (d) MUV; iii. AFB; iv. RSV; v. VLT; vi. DRF |
so is that CMU directed through ALPA because it is a contract violation or directly to scheduling.
