I wouldn't expect to see the A300s go anywhere too soon. We bought some new in the early/mid 1990s and got the last ones built. Two engines and it seems to fit the routes on Mid/Large Cities. Maybe the A310s would go.
As much as I love the Douglas tri-jet, I think the MD-11 Fleet would be the next to go.

Rest assured that Fred's team is going to buy the one that provides the one with the greatest forecast ROI... unless they buy the one that provides the most political leverage... or the one that looks best in purple and white... or???

"No duh" about FedEx whipsawing Airbus and Boeing. If you actually read the phrase of mine that you quoted, you'll notice I said "I" would like to see an all Boeing fleet. I like flying them and the seem to be more reliable than the Bus.
