FedEx in IAH
Just wondering if there is a shuttle from the FedEx ramp to the passenger terminal in IAH?
Thanks!!!!! |
Nope...call a cab, or talk a hotel into riding their shuttle to the hotel and then to the airport. Trick is to get them to pick you up.

A cab from FedEx to the A concourse should run you no more than $5-7 with a nice tip. Heck, I've considered walking it because it's really close, the only downside is no sidewalks for part of it and it involves crossing a major street. I suggest going to the A concourse because it's the closest terminal to the cargo ramp and you can take the inter-terminal train to any other concourse from there.

Do NOT walk. I did it once ... and it was a complete disaster. No sidewalks, so you're wading through grass while vehicles whiz by at 50 MPH. Plus, IAH is usually hot/humid, and I sweat like a pig on the way over there. Not the best way to ask for a ride, when you smell like a troll, to say nothing of dragging your luggage through the tall grass all the way over there.
In my experience, a cab is the best way at IAH, and at most outstations. In their hubs, FedEx usually has shuttles available ... I've used them in MEM and IND. |

Just did this about 2 weeks ago. Get a cab. It cost me $10 with a decent tip.
Didn't want to inconvenience the crew after they just gave me a free ride by asking for another one. DO NOT WALK... No easy way to do it safely, and you'll sweat through your clothes by the time you get to A or B |
