The ABX guys made it happen(strike) without waiting years to "get released". They did what they had to do.

How long has ABX been in negotiations?

Ours is (was) a status quo violation strike. It has nothing to do with current negotiations and did not require us to be released from the NMB. Yes, we are in negotiations, thus both parties must operate in a status quo manner reflecting the expired contracts rules and provisions. When one party violates the status quo and it is deemed a major dispute, the other party is able to seek self help up to and including a strike/lockout.

Are you currently employed at Atlas? I see you're applying everywhere else, so it makes me wonder if you were one of the guys that didn't make it through training or terminated for other reasons since you were in, I believe, the Feb class. Just asking because it will put your messages in perspective if you just have a vendetta or are a current Atlas pilot that is that truly so unhappy that you're trying to get hired absolutely anywhere else.

I'm not taking a shot here, just trying to get a clear picture.

First of all, please learn the tiles of your representatives. We are no longer ALPO, thank GOD! We are Teamsters. The leadership group is called EXCO, short for Executive Council.

Next, we are in a battle on how to proceed, because the company wants to use arbitration as a leverage, we want to be able to strike as leverage. That will have to go to court, nothing anyone can do about it, deal with it!

Except that the judge today ruled that it was not a major dispute and therefore the self-help/strike had no legal standing.

Nice try, but no:

Specifically, Defendants and its members are prohibited from authorizing, causing, engaging in, sanctioning, or assisting in any work stoppage or strike of ABX’s operations.
