Default FDX: DUS deviation gouge?

I have a DH out of DUS this weekend and I have asked around and no one seems to have any gouge yet. I land in CGN at 516a and have a ticket out on DAL at 925a out of DUS. I've looked at going out of CGN, but the ticket prices are 3-4 times more expensive. I haven't yet called the GT vendor (still pending), and will ask about transportation right from CGN to DUS when I do, but I want to know if there are other options. Via train, it looks like I can go from CGN to DUS, but there is a change in the main station downtown Cologne. There is also a change in downtown DUS as well to a direct train to the airport (3 legs from CGN, 2 legs from Cologne's main station). Also, anyone used the 1st Class lounge (Air France/Delta) in DUS yet? Are there showers? My FO isn't any help. He's never been out of DUS and he is going out of FRA to Asia to meet up with his wife. TIA.

Call or email the GT provider. They will take you from CGN to DUS. It should only take about 45 minutes. This will be the easiest way for you. I was going to use them last month to go from CGN to FRA, but my trip got revised. I used them to go from the hotel in CGN to the airport. This will be easier than trying to connect with trains and all that mess.
No experience with the lounge in DUS. If you go through AMS, there are showers in the KLM lounge there.

Good luck.

Deviated out of DUS last week. Only spent an hour in the lounge and didn't notice showers. I had about 10 hours from arriving in CGN to departing DUS, so I went to the hotel and caught the train to the DUS airport after a shower and nap(about $14).

Not sure if this helps, but the train to DUS from CGN runs about every 30 minutes.

Sent an email to the GT vendor, email listed in hotel directory on p.f.c. and got no response. Sent a follow up and got "No problem, we can get you direct to DUS". Upon landing and block in, our driver didn't have a clue and couldn't take me direct to DUS as he had anoer pick up. I suggested he take me to the hotel with my FO and have another driver pick me up an hour later (I had 4 hrs between block in and departure out of DUS). He didn't think at would work, but after numerous phone calls and walkie talkie conversations, that is what happened. Had an hour at the Dorint and another driver picked me up at 7a for a 925a departure. The ride was 110 euros (bank was not an issue). Delta/AF use the Open Lounge at DUS and I saw no showers or free Internet. Just some snacks and drinks. Overall, was a painless evolution.
