Fdx-flight release viewing
 

Anyone know a workaround viewing the flight release using the iPad/iPhone. Seems cut off the release.

Use two fingers to swipe and scroll the release.

Don't know if this helps, but on a Mac you can hit the print command, then save as a PDF.

I'm thinking on a recent flight someone had an iPad and did in fact have the entire flight plan, weather, etc. saved as a PDF. Unfortunately I don't know how he did it...but obviously it can be done.

I save it as a PDF on my Macbook and then transfer it to my iPad using good reader. I don't know of a way to save it using the iPad alone.

Use the Goodreader web browser. Make like you are printing the release with the flight plan, weather, whatever you want... Then Goodreader will open up the document all by itself in the browser. All you have to do now it touch the download icon at the bottom of the screen (the circle with the arrow in it). Your flight release will now be in your documents, and be able to be accessed offline.

On the iPad, open GoodReader, then go to where you want to store your copy of the FPR.

On that GoodReader page, select "Web Downloads" on the right side, then select "Browse the web". Log on to P.F.C and open the release. On that web page, select "print", then select "download" on the GoodReader menu bar (the circle with the down arrow). Select the back arrow at the top left of the GoodReader window (the one with the name of your Goodreader directory).

The file will be saved as a "fpsPlanOutputPrint.jsp.html" or something similar. Rename it as you like. The saved file will include the full FPR and weather/NOTAMS, all scrollable with a single finger touch.

Get Company to support Safari...
 

If you add up the number of iPads and Macs that I see guys carry on the road, I think Safari and Mobile Safari outnumber our Internet Explorer users. Even more so when you find out many Windows guys use Firefox, Chrome, etc. Maybe we should demand that the company support more than just IE!
All pfc web pages should support IE,Safari,Mobile Safari, Firefox,Chrome.
The idea might even get some traction, seeing the love of the iPad within the Gucci and Management brotherhood!
