The view/add window is closed...But, the trips asked for have not been removed from open time yet. Inevitably, that will include DPs.
By the way, should a guy that has knowingly flown DPs be elected to a block rep position?

What if you get trip 4 assigned to you as a secondary line? For us new guy's how do you avoid the pairing? How do you find out in advance that the pairing is disputed?
Thanks

It cannot be put on your secondary line unless you put it as one of your choices (i.e. - ask for it)!!!!
"Disputed pairings" are in the SIG monthly email!

Because view/add closed yesterday and if one was awarded a trip it would know be on one's calendar.
I think these went untouched in the view/add process in all seats.
If so, once again, nice job all around!!
And IMHO, no --- I would not vote for a Block Rep who knowingly requested and flew DPs.

Those with block rep elections coming should query the candidates on their DP flying, if it matters to you.

Some Captain "guidance" would be good too. Lots of new hires in the back that could make the General makeup mistake. We need the more experienced guys (Captain and First Officers) to help the new hires avoid the pitfalls.
Another thing to vent - buddy of mine got publically blasted by a guy on the bus for flying the disputed pairing this month. One problem, it WASN'T disputed in October only in November.
We need to hold the line, but we also need some civility in the process.

Ya, sorry to say. I'm sure about open time. The trips taken with "Carry-in-conflict" make up may/may not have disappeared from OT...But, the VTO trips won't disappear from open time until later this week.

New guys --- keep your ears to the ground and spread the word amongst your classmates. Your the ones who have a strong network amongst your peers.
Yes, understanding why we shouldn't voluntarily fly DPs is a hard lesson to learn after the trip.
Fly safely!

No debate here that the VTO lines haven't been published yet --- original praise on Friday night was with reference to the DP trips NOT being picked up in any crew postion during the View/Add window.

I would love to think that none of the DPs were requested during the view/add window...But, that's just not going to happen with this group.
I would love to eat crow concerning this.
