Any news on future hiring for the 737. Would really love to leave the main land to fly for Aloha. Would appreciate any PM from current pilots on this forum. Love the idea of no overnights. I'm qualified on type.

Default 76 Freighters?

When I saw the thread on NAC, I questioned where the airplanes would come from. My understanding is that any 76 freighters capable of making noise are committed to the Amazon program - 44 airplanes total, and that all the 76 P2F conversion slots for the next 3 years are taken up by the same. 76 freighters to Aloha? Unless the plan is to fly them only intra islands, now you're talking 180 ETOPS. Not impossible, but a significant increase in certification complexity.

Oh don't worry I'm sure my CEO is chomping at the bit to lease as many freighters to NAC as possible. Insuring ABX's demise, which is still a good deal to us because it insures our pension will be funded. See it's a win-win!

I'm not sure I completely understand your points about ABX and pensions. My point is that 76Fs going to both airlines would mean 6-10 airplanes. I think these airplanes have been hard to find lately, and the conversion centers, of which there are only a few, are full.

I'll help you understand. ABX has. Funded A plan. As long as the symbol ATSG is around they will be required to fund the pension. One of the subsidiaries is CAM, these are the guys who lease the jets we use. So if they decide to lease to NAC, the revenues go toward our pensions. We (ABX) will be paid regardless.

OK. Gotcha. Thanks. Setting aside the complexities of ETOPS on a new type, do they have 10, 76Fs not committed to Amazon? Does anyone?

Any current news on when the 767 starts flying?

The APC profile pages says taking apps for future expansion. Is that just the 767 that is coming or are there other expansions plans.

Any interviews lately?

It's my understanding is that they are working on getting 180 ETOPS still. We've been told to expect our charter flying for them to end eventually, but it doesn't sound like anytime real soon.
