Well no, I did not say that

Is that clear, or do you want me to type it in a different way?

Every company (including UPS) will bend a pull on regs.

Your logic chain is flawed. Perhaps you're too high on your horse to see.
Spot on. Careful though...a witty riposte such as, "hit a raw nerve?", is surely coming your way.

We have our share of "overtime *****s" and I'm sure you do... but the wrong way to schedule an airline is to worry about them and put safety on the back burner.... at lest in my "judgement" it is..
Mitigation of fatigue is the issue. When you fly a week of nights you are able to acclimate to the night schedule then go back to a normal life on your week off. Having to swap every 3-4 days from a night sched (work) to a day sched (off time) then back to night again will be horrendous.

Don't know who you work for or what type of schedule you have but some of the new rules would cause issues at FDX and increase chronic fatigue. Don't know if it will go thru for anyone or not. Heard the entire thing is on hold.

Anyway, politics will play out in the end. And we will go to work either way and enjoy the cold ones on the road.

No raw nerves hit here, but thanks for the warning. It is just that misplaced arrogance is a pet peeve of mine.

how is he arrogant if he's just saying it shows poor judgement to take job where MD11 captains are making $75K/year? have you worked at Skylease or do you know someone there? I think his point is very fair... if not politically correct.

I have not worked for, nor do I know anyone there. However, where is one to draw the line at "poor judgment" in regard to salary? Anything less than FDX/UPS? A certain percentage less? Is it all about the money? Nobody, not you, not me can know the reasons someone takes a job at a "bottom feeder" and everyone has their own reasons. It is indeed arrogant to deem someone as having poor judgment for taking a job, about whom they have no idea of their individual circumstances.

Pilots exhibiting poor judgment can be found at ANY airline.

As for political correctness, I am not following you as PC has nothing to do with this discussion.
