I disagree. From the 11/30 positive rate weekly, our MEC chairman sez, in part: "FedEx Survey: The FedEx survey specifically states that the focus is on input concerning cultural issues versus collective bargaining issues. ... please keep in mind that this is a chance to express your views concerning the conduct of management."

Manglement is inviting you to tell them exactly how forked up you think they are. To paraphrase Aldo Raine, "Oblige them!"

I liked the question about timely communications from management. I responded that I just received my Summer 2011 Safe Skies yesterday.

So, the company wants to know how I feel about our executive leadership? Here's what I know. The company is moving two giant Pandas from China to Scotland. Sounds like a good deal. I would think that our credible flight crews would be the ones to get the call, but no. I have a SVP, VP and two MD's taking the charter flight (all wearing company provided purple and orange kilts, nonetheless). What does that tell your crew force......sheeesh.

Contract proposal ... ALL revenue flying must be made available to the crew force. If management elects to fly the high visibility PR flights, the operating crew assigned will be paid as if they had flown the flight!*?

edit: Management = "Chuck's varsity A team"

Thought that was pretty interesting too. Good timing.

Just a hunch I have but ...

I'd be willing to wager that I've been a union member longer than you, paid more union dues than you and been on the "right" side of the negotiating table longer than you ...
