Do you know if you can use it while on mil leave?

Overnitefr8 12-10-2011 09:00 AM

I buy my shirts from Landerwoodshirts.com
Free Fedex shipping.

Another benefit is the short sleeve shirts are made in the USA.

Looks like long sleeve production has shifted to China.

Overnitefr8 12-12-2011 07:23 AM

I just bought new shirts a couple months ago. The short sleeves are made in China now also. At least the style I bought

FrankTheTank 12-19-2011 12:40 PM

Good gouge on the shirts. Just got mine. They still have some not from China long sleeves in stock, depending on size. Any gouge on pants? The VF are OK but hoping somebody knows of something better.

Anybody else have issues with landerwood shirt collars? I like the shirts and the material but the collars don't look right. I got them a couple years ago and was hoping they learned how to make the collars lay better so I could feel better about purchasing more.

I just got some from crewgear...made in China and felt like sandpaper...they're going back.

Iwa Washi 12-19-2011 03:40 PM

Well at least you can get the new FedEx regulation Kilts made in China!

Flaps50 12-19-2011 03:58 PM

Anyone know where you can get the long dark wool uniform overcoat?

The athletic cut (style 700) is made in the US...at least mine was (bought in late October.) Can't say about the others. Still, their quality and fabric seem better than most. FWIW

Because of Space, VF Solutions doesn't carry them anymore; I have been told by the ACPs office, (MF) that you can go to any department store and expense it with the company card. I would recommend checking that is still the case before doing so however.

Also, check your PMs.

My recently divorced brother made a date with a girl on one of those internet dating sites who described herself as having an "athletic" body. Turned out she meant defensive tackle.

"If" that's true (I have no way of knowing if it is or not?) then I was at Kohl's this morning. They have a very nice "Chaps" brand wool overcoat for $118 (before 20% cash back deal). So after the discount + tax = ~$102 for a pretty nice coat.

Disclaimer ... not sure if it was black or navy blue?

It was probably this one.
Chaps Charcoal Parma Overcoat
Nice looking coat, but only comes in charcoal... I've been looking all over for a navy one, can't seem to find one. If anyone comes across one, let us know. Thanks.

Flashing is frowned upon!

Aribusdude 12-26-2011 05:09 PM

I highly recommend Tarpy Tailors in LAX. The brothers have sold the business to a couple of ladies. They sell an Elbeco brand shirt that is excellent. Their custom made uniforms are good but expensive. I think it's worth it since they fit so nice. Can choose light or heavy weight fabric. Tarpy's is approved vendor from Fedex.

Aribusdude 12-26-2011 05:11 PM

I think the long wool trench coat has to be ordered from VF solutions in order for Fedex to pay. You might try Burlington Coat Factory or a private men's store and have them list it as a pair of shoes to get by the expense report Nazis.

Really? Another legendary pilot move...save $150, lose million dollar career. Brilliant!

Wool coat will be paid for by allowance. I did have to model coat for ACP. He said I looked fantastic!

Also Leather 46" for sale. Best offer. Great condition. Too fat.

That one looks like a winner. It's been almost impossible to find a navy wool overcoat! Thanks!

Does anyone wear these? If so, you would look like a professional and Delta would be proud. I thought all freight dogs look classy in our leather jackets, jeans and tennis shoes. After all, we aren't that special according to the FAA, minor property loss only.
