min days off for ITU bid month
If scheduled for ITU training for 19 days of the bid month, 8Feb on. And a Jan carry over line is awarded for the precedding month with 6 days of carry-in to Feb (the month that has the ITU), is that trip dropped for min days off during the bid month?
The month would have 6 on 3 off then ITU for the rest of the month.
Searched the contract, couldnt find where this is addressed for ITU (it is addressed for recurrent).

Here's the thing about some of the ITU issues such as min days off and training schedule:
You do ITU five or six times during your career. How much "negotiating capital" do you want to trade for those relatively rare events? I understand that when some of this stuff happens, it is the biggest, most important issue at the time. However, I'd rather work on the stuff that we have to deal with on a continual, day to day basis.
The flip-side of min days off, is most pilots in general, and commuters in particular, tend to want to get ITU over with and get back home. Applying min days off to ITU will only serve to drag out what most feel is an already lengthy stay in Memphis.
YMMV

During new hire & last ITU the days off per month was a personal issue, I'd rather have a footprint a few days longer than be in memphis for 25 days out of 30. Our contract now states that we must have "a" day off after 4 days. The training department takes that "a" literally, and thru 727 training we saw 4 on one off, 3 on 1 off, 3 on 1 off, in random patterns- meaning for a commuter you could not go home. In the random 8 day pattern we could have 6 on and two back to back off, commutable and not changing the footprint of training.
However your're right that we must prioritize neg capital, but being consistent with our message, and intent in QoL is important too.
