Just saw that the FAA estimates the carve out would cost freight carriers $200 millon over the next 10 yrs. $20 million per year across the entire industry.
FedEx and UPS net profits in the last year? $5.0 billion.
$20M/$5B = 0.4%
Too expensive...???

Since you can't answer any questions on this I must admire your vivid speculation and admit that I was totally blind to the wide ranging effects this will bring as a crowning jewel of accomplishment.
It will no doubt be a panacea for all of our woes, I'll bet the FAA is running their shredders overtime right now in response to the threat.
How could I not see that this will be the third element of a mighty hat trick which includes forays into real estate, co-opting management into a union and now this-this stunning victory over the twin evil minions of management and government.
My hat is off Bob, thanks for showing me the light and carrying the fire!

"2. What, exactly, would we hope to gain through legal action?"
My answer detailed potential gains that might happen as a result of legal action...in high school level, layman English no less. You asked, I answered...I'm not sure what else to do for you other than ponder your nonsensical response..."this-this"? Huh?
Perhaps you could regale us with your legal expertise and dealings with government agencies as to why it is such folly?
Or cut and paste more pulp fiction comic book covers (which are pretty cool BTW) and regurgitate Ron Paul news letter silliness.

Bob, I will defer to your legal expertise and accept your wide ranging and purely speculative meanderings as the best answer you can pull out right now. I can only allow that the two years until implementation will be interesting, but doubt very much this legal action will have any effect at all on the outcome-except to complete that mighty hat trick.
The historic record of success speaks for itself no matter what either of us believe.

But then again, we can always dream...afterall, I bet when you were a young whipper snapper, I bet you never dreamed that now you'd be a moderator on APC foretelling so many things with so much certitude.
You'll just have to pardon us naive surfs not content to say "thank you sir, may I have another" indefinitely.
Oh the horror.

Apparently, the only answer suitable to you is agreement with you...that's cool.

The kindness and wit, the love for your fellow humans and finally the real sense of team.

Bob, it is the people here like yourself that make it all worth it and the real, though often unintended, humor that is poured forth on a daily basis.
The kindness and wit, the love for your fellow humans and finally the real sense of team.
It is always good for a hearty laugh.

You're a real Mother Teresa here alright.
