Jumpseating

Aloha,

Is anyone jumpseating from HNL to ANC on a regular basis, if so, how is that working out? It has been several years since I have been able to jumpseat and I am looking at all options to commute to work. Is alaska weight restricted in the winter time going north? How bad is it getting out of SEA?

Thank you in adavance

I can't really speak for the HNL-ANC leg, because we don't normally fly that at Brown.

Jumping on the SEA-ANC leg is pretty tough in the summertime, but much better in the winter. If you really want a good chance of getting onboard, be there for that 0600 AS flight. After about 10am, you and 10 of your best pilot buddies will be fighting for that jumpseat(s), especially in the summer.
