Thanks to all. Found it. It is VERY conservative. Most pilots will move up much faster.

Saw about 30 new hire positions on the training letter for the 727. All going to the backseat in Memphis. I think the classes were for the next 3 months.

I heard 24 months of hiring from someone in the "know". Of course, subject to change.

Been hearing and reading conflicting info...

Is a sponsor required and if not what are the chances of being called in for an interview without a sponsor but with a few references (assume civilian with mix of heavy time bla bla bla)?

From my understanding...

A sponsor, or now referred to as "primary endorsement", is a HUGE help in having a chance to get an interview.

However, it seems that several classes last year were filled with pilots who had MD11 experience, many of them without sponsors or even letters of rec. That seems to be out of the ordinary and atypical though.

Regardless, to have a shot, have your app properly filled out and updated frequently.

Good luck! I know the feeling.

With ~20/month going to class pool will be empty soon so they'll need to start hiring again.
Heard that calls for interviews might start end of Feb/first of March.
(I know a few that retested and have been in limbo. They'd go first I'd guess. Who knows. They haven't heard anything since retesting.)

As noted above, Emerald Coast is a great resource to use to get yourself ready. You don't want to be scrambling trying to get ready in a few days/weeks for THE interview of your career!

Good Luck!

Are you required to have the ATP Certificate? Currently I am working toward the ATP but won't have it until March or so. I attempted to start a profile about a year and a half ago but as I recall the ATP was a requirement to start the profile. Not 100% sure though..

A buddy of mine said he started a profile a while ago without having the ATP. Possible something that has changed over the years..?

Also, is there any standard to how long the profile window will be open..historically.... a week, month, few months..?

Thanks in advance for any info passed!

Leaving the Slave Ship panel soon to make room for the new hires. Thank you to 99.9% of the great front seaters for making a hard, annoying, non-stick, voice activated autothrottle, barista/waterboy/foodboy, paper jockey position a great experience and almost enjoyable. And the other .1% wasn't that bad! I'm going to buy myself one of those crappy seats for future reference of those who never served sideways!
