Fdx New Cba Payrate Effective Date
 

I see that our new payrates are effective on October 31 of this year. Does that mean that the October 31 check will be calculated using this payrate, or will the first time we see the new payrates be Nov 15?

Valid question....but my guess is that since the 1st day of the NOV bid month is 30 OCT, the 15 Nov check will be at old rates.....

Here's my take.


The 15 Nov paycheck represents half of your November bidmonth, plus the overages from October. (The end-of-November paycheck represents the other half of the November month, as bid.)


The overages from October (per diem, Int'l Override, trips added/dropped/traded/etc.) will be at the old rate, and the "first half of November" pay will be at the new rate.

Here's a good one for Tony:

I'm on MLA and will be gone when the contract takes effect. I'll miss the first bonus payment. The LOA says you'll get it all as a lump sum when you come back if you are on MLA when the contract kicks in. If I come back between payments, will I get the total lump sum right then? Or will I get the first half when I come back and the second half in Jun 07? Hmmmm.

I think it's moot anyway. Looks like my orders will be extended til Jan 09. No bonus for me until we're in negotations again.
