Got a question for you Fedex guys. Im a Captain at a regional with about 2500 PIC. I almost always get weekends off. I have a friend who works for FedEx as a Regional manager down in SoCal and he has said that he would be able to get me a job on the ramp on the weekends down in LAX. Since I don't know any pilots there, I am seriously considering working part time on the weekends to get my foot in the door at FedEX. Would this set me up for an interview after the one year or would I still need to get an internal pilot recommendation? Would appreciate the input, thanks.
