So, long term, you're bullish on America.
Sure. But look, the U.S. political system is completely broken, and as a wise man once said, "What can't continue, won't." So we're either going to be stopped by the bond market at some point in time, or we're going to fix Washington. And I think we will be able to do it.
He's more optimistic than me.

Man, he is awesome.

Stay healthy Mr. Smith, and please don't retire for 20 more years. :)

Now, if only his vision and leadership could be passed down to his mid-level VP's and MD's....:D:D

Read an article in 2010 that said he could see himself retired in 3-5 years.

I believe I read years ago that his father passed away at a young age from heart problems (younger than Mr. S. is now IIRC). I too hope he stays well and in command of this "ship."

Yep, I did read that article. Makes sense for him and his family to retire soon. If I were in his shoes, I probably would've retired quite a while ago... But his intense drive is in very large part what created this company. Although for the sake of all employees, hopefully he reconsiders and decides to stay around for many more years.
