Does anyone know if Kalitta is going to hire in the next few months?

what are the mins these days? Do they still have that 2000 turbojet requirement?

What ever is posted is current. I would imagine for the time being that they will not reduce the mins. The folks who have had issues in training all seem to have one of two things in common. Either a lack of total time or a lack af recent time. Over the past 6 months we have had several FO's not make it through training on both airframes but mostly on the 400. With the current pool of higher time pilots out there, it makes it hard to justify lowering the mins.

I think it is 2500 TJ. 5000TT. Have not seen a vacancy bid so guessing no classes. But things change quickly.

bummer, 800 turbojet and 4200tt. Currently flying a KingAir. Hopefully they'll come down in the next year.

Hiring plans for 2012 have not been finalized yet. I do expect hiring to resume later this year. The minimums are 5,000 TT, 2,500 Jet. Preference will be given to those who have heavy experience or glass time.

Hi all,

Was wondering if anyone within CKS has heard the rumor of adding 757s to the operation/certificate? I heard this today and it actually does make sense if it is a 757 combi since there was a third airline (ATI and National Airlines) adding the 757 combi.

sorry, but I don't see the "makes sense" bit... we don't fly domestically, nor does Connie want a different airframe.
We have nothing to do with ATI or National.
haven't heard the rumor, only rumors of more -400's.

only rumors.

some people have left recently, back to CAL/UAL. so we may be short on the FO list.

and we don't have flight attendants for a combi.

The "makes sense" bit was since there was a third AMC/121 supp carrier adding the 757 combi and since this rumor popped up, I put two and two together. I didn't think it was their MO but figured I'd post anyway.

Also heard the rumor of more -400s along with this one.
