Default FDX - Block 3 results

Nicely done, Council 26. Out of 1258 eligible members...191(15%) of you made the effort to vote. Your new Block 3 rep received less than 8% of the eligible Council member votes.

Management has got to be loving this.

WAKE UP, you apathetic morons!!!!! This stuff matters. These are the guys that are going to decide our future.

The way I see it, there are two possible causes for the low turnout. One, members believe the union is doing such a good job for them that they're happy with whomever volunteers to serve. Or two, members believe the union doesn't listen anyway so it just doesn't matter.
I wonder what kind of response there would be for a vote to end mandatory dues payment. I honestly have no idea.

I only vote for block 6 block reps. Those guys in block 3 dont represent me.

Didnt know either one, didn't see enough information to make a good choice. Just the way ALPA like it.

It is always funny to see someone call their fellow pilots morons, instead you might want to reflect on the reason turnout is so low.

Clearly everyone besides yourself is not a moron, so they clearly have different ideas about what is important, what matters and what is going to decide their future.

The very low rate of contribution to your union's PAC is a clear indicator that all of your fellow pilots are indeed not morons.

Did the guy who won support the faction that tells us not to bid airplanes and then bids them or the faction that tells us not to bid pairings then bids them?

Some like to complain then quickly return to their "Hey look at me" personas.

You know, the guys who wear 767, military or college team lanyards or ask for DPs on secondary lines.

They're simply too busy trying to get draft or work their deals to think about what's going on.

Didn't know either guy, so I agree with Lag...

I agree, the turnout was low, but what did either individual do to "sell" themselves to the particular block they represented?

Quite frankly, I'm tired of the rhetoric of just about anybody running for any office nowadays, unless they prove to me that they want to SERVE, and not BE SERVED.....no apologies to DW......

Seriously, the ALPA days at FedEx are numbered. DW can look in the mirror if he would like to know who destroyed FedEx ALPA. We will never have unity ever again thanks to him, might as well just end it now, and save us all some money.

Jungle,

Sounds to me like you are doing exactly what you are accusing Busboy of by implying that anyone who contributes to the PAC a moron. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Busboy,

I sure agree that this stuff matters. I also don't think that the people reading your post on APC are the problem. Despite text msgs, emails and yes even threads on APC too many FDX pilots will still claim they weren't aware of the vote... especially those in Block 3.
