Yup! LMAO!!!!!! I refuse to argue with a collective that votes in an out of seniority furlough policy.

In any merger, there will be individuals who think they came out a little bit better or worse. Most people will accept that as long as they feel like the process used is basically fair and unbiased.

When the lists are merged anybody who is furloughed when the music stops goes into the furlough pool. The furloughed ATI pilots have up to 2 years of seniority but they are at the top of the FO pay scale because they were at another ATSG carrier for at least 12 years. They have seniority based on the date they started at ATI but they have 12 year pay because of a benefit that was negotiated with ATSG.

It looks like ATSG is manipulating the process in order to reduce labor costs. If the two pilot groups are combined, ATSG management will prefer to have Capital pilots on the active list at year 1 or 2 on the pay scale than ATI pilots at year 12. So they wait until just before it will go into effect then furlough more ATI pilots and recall some Capital pilots.

I want to see the Capital pilots get their pay raise. If nothing else, it's a little bit of whipsaw insurance. They also deserve to be paid better. Even if I personally have nothing to gain, I would vote yes just for the benefit of Capital men and women. However, I will not vote for and support a process that punishes more long-term ATSG pilots for the crime of having worked for an ATSG carrier for a longer period of time. Those guys are being rewarded for their loyalty with unemployment. I say NO NO NO.

Two honest questions, not that honesty can ever exist on a anonymous internet message board, but I can't wrap my mind around these things.

1: What will voting the contract down accomplish?

2: After voting it down what do you think will happen? Do you honestly think Hete will "thrown money at it"? Did he now furlough 30 over at ABX because of 18 hour duty days and loss of work because of it?

1. Prevent loss of seniority of all ATI pilots.

2. Not sure, but since ATI has passenger capability, ETOPS, Cat 2 (Cat 3 next week) and authority to fly almost anywhere in the world I like our odds. Basically we can do what Cappy does, but they can't do what we do. You do the math- do you really see the ATI certificate being surrendered in favor of Cappy's?

Or he can move the 76s to ABX, and shutdown the company that's losing 11 mil a month which isn't CCIA, hete would have 2 profitable airlines.

The loss is 1.1 million per month. The big reason for that was ATI does not furlough out of seniority. Once the transition training is completed ATI, should be in the black.

from Hete himself to the shareholders, the loss is only due to training costs to move pilots over to 767s. Once training is complete, profit will again be shown.
