Fdx Bid?

Well my wife and I have had enough of Memphis. House just went on the market after 3 years in this shi**y place. Has anyone in the know heard anything of other possible bases besides Paris. Are any Indy rumors still alive? How about Greensboro?

Please let me know what your hearing. I know rumors are rumors, but it is amazing how many end up being true.

Heard the other day that the 757 was going to be based in EWR and Europe. I'm sure it's crap, but you never know.

As an east coaster, sure would be nice to have another alternative than MEM.

Rumor... I heard 757s in Europe, but that would be a pay cut now, so it looks like I'm stuck.
I finally moved to Memphis after 12 years. Going to bid reserve and hope to spend more time at home while working on my high 5.
Good luck selling your house!

Try commuting. Like many things, it only feels perverted the first couple of times you do it....

Huck, sounds like you might have other issues. Now might be a good time to confess your sins.

I've heard CDG 757 and the EWR 757 rumor as well. Personally, an IND Base comes around and I'd head outta MEM like a Fetus.

Someone should pay some local mempho thugs to go rob Fred's house. The whole operation would move pretty damn quick.

So how are you going to work on your high 5 by being on reserve in Mempho? That means a lot of DFT/VOL (on you days off) to help offset the reduced CH for a reserve line. Unless of course you bid R lines with gigantic C/O. So tell us your secret, inquiring minds want to know. Or maybe I'll just call Tony;)

Tony would know better!
And you are right since we have a contract I plan on C/O rdays and if I sit around then I'll do extra on my days off. Got to to have some benefit for living in Memphis. Captain RFO I took to STN the other day got his high five sitting in Memphis doing C/O rdays and sitting at home. Just a plan not sure if it will work.

I read in Aviation Week that the AA maintenance facility at AFW was preparing to do 757P-757F conversions. The article was published before the FedEx 757 announcement. It didn't mention whose pax airplanes or whose freighter airplanes.

777 pay rates are not mentioned in the contract. Will need to be negotiated....:) I'm thinking same as the 380 since it's a stand in.
