I think they are....my understanding is that all the new composite heavy planes cannot do a pax to freighter mod and must be designed in at production for flooring strength..

Nothing to convert, except raw materials. They are coming right off the line. Technically the B777F is still under development

Question: What will happen now that the new FX agreement has A380 pay rates, and is not due to expire before the 777 delivery? Will the 777 pilots get the A380 pay?

It will have to be negotiated by a letter of agreement. My guess is the 777 will pay the same as our 10,11,a300

I hope you're wrong. The 777F grosses out about 140K lbs more than an MD-11. Although it's not as big as an A-380, it will be flying some of the same routes. I hope the union pushes for a different payrate.

I don't see where B777 is mentioned in the contract, so it will have to be negotiated. You know Fred is gonna want something in return - maybe the up and out policy JL seems to want?

Boeing is working on a 777BCF which makes a standard 777 into a freighter. The 777 floor beams are composite but can be replaced with beefier ones.

I hope he is wrong too! Remember what our DC-8s paid (they carried 100K of cargo and paid narrow body rates. The 747-200's paid widebody rates.
If you were a betting man what do you think will happen.........................

The language in the contract allows the Company to put a "new" aircraft in service before a pay rate is agreed upon.......
