mid trip-deviated on emirates cdg.dbx.pvg 1st class $4959. much longer duty day, than the non-stop, but anecdotal reports state that it is worth it to NOT fly on China Air.
AF & CX were way over accepted fare.

Had a flight sched on EVA last month CDG-TPE.....and the accepted fare was....drum roll please.....$650 +/- a few.
The actual ticket...... $9088!
Deviated on CX First Class for $5400.
Speaking of CX. If you go to their web site. You can purchase a FC tkt CDG-HKG or CDG-PVG for less than the accepted fare on the same flight (which is in BC). The only diff in the tkts is if you just don't show up then there is a 500euro charge......

But I did check with Corp travel....asked them to price every day for +/- a week. The cheapest BC fare available was $8800.
The shenanigans with accepted fares continue..
