Keep the schedulers and crew pay folks honest...
Watch out for preemptive weather diverts / extra legs where they say they don't owe you for the extra landings because it was due to weather --- while in fact your destination may be VFR at your ETA ...or the last minute/after you step to the jet RAT where they don't actually notify you until after you land. They will try to avoid putting people in sub because people will just decline and go home There were some very questionable games last spring when that big hurricane went up the east coast |

Been in the contract trying to prep myself on this one but can't quite get my head around it.

To add to the storm, just heard the FAA is grounding all airbus's, Monday 1st thing due to some autopilot issue. Heard fix is in the works but nothing final yet. Could make this week very interesting!

Back to the original subject ...
Just spoke with FDX ALPA Contract Enforcement concerning my "Frankenstorm" disruption pay. He was very helpful. Among the extra pay provisions he pointed out ... - Extra Duty period pay - Extra landings (washed out by extra duty period pay, don't get paid for both) - 50% of layovers changed - Overage (for duty past original schedule) Too bad there isn't a "trip revision" pay ... we're up to rev 7 already (since yesterday afternoon) and it's likely to change again  |
Anybody laying over in EWR?
